B-AQVX-screenshot-capture-corpora-drift-zoo-augmented-web
Both the zoo and augmented_web screenshot corpora show a systematic colour drift that makes visual
verification claims worthless. Fresh captures on the current machine produce a consistent pixel
delta of roughly 4.03M pixels at delta 8 from the committed baseline shots: the blue accent colour
renders rgb(10,96,255) in the committed shots but rgb(29,89,216) on a fresh capture. This drift
predates the design-language work — reverting the vue bump and re-capturing produces an identical
delta profile, so the environment is the source, not recent code changes.
pumice’s corpus is not drifted: only 2 of 8 shots changed on the conversion to the design language. Zoo and augmented_web should have similar scope, so environmental misconfiguration or hardware variation is the likely culprit.
Any visual verification made against the zoo or augmented_web corpus in baseline comparisons is currently unreliable. Design changes that affect colour rendering cannot be validated, and the baseline gate will flag drift as false positives if the environment producing captures differs from CI.
