Statement

agent-adapt defines the domain model for coding-agent assets (Skill, Agent, Hook, Script, Role, Pack, PackBundle) independently of any runtime, then renders it into the on-disk conventions of ten runtimes: Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Amp, Cursor, Copilot, Pi, generic npm packages, and a spec-only Portable target. It also renders MCP server configs for Claude, Codex and Gemini. Capability traits let each runtime adapter opt into only the asset kinds it supports, and a capabilities module records, with source and date, which frontmatter fields, tools, permissions and hook events each runtime honors. This crate is the canonical implementation; the upstream rust-agent-adapt repo has diverged. The TypeScript package under C-0011 mirrors only the keystroke-fast subset of its derivations for editor use.

What it provides

  • Per-runtime skill-call rendering: the token a user types to invoke a skill on each runtime (/ns:name, $ns:name, /skill:name, or the bare name), with a source for each syntax (skill_call.rs).
  • Install helpers over a virtual, I/O-free ExportedTree (install.rs, output).
  • A capability-claim matrix with evidence and a date on every claim (capabilities.rs).
