Summary
Section titled “Summary”- Answers a question about a notes vault by running a model tool loop over read-only vault tools.
- Works with a local Ollama daemon by default, or the Anthropic Messages API.
Statement
Section titled “Statement”Given a question and prior text turns, the crate runs a model tool loop and returns the finished answer, the ordered steps (thinking and tool calls) and token usage. Every tool is a read: list, read and search notes, tag census, backlinks and outgoing links, and recent notes by mtime. The vault is never written, and model-supplied paths are resolved inside the vault so they cannot escape it. AGENT_CHAT_PROVIDER selects the provider and AGENT_CHAT_MODEL overrides the model.

Underlying implementation
