SQLite platform service
State: open/building · Kind: module · Audience: system
Summary
Section titled “Summary”- Determined opens every SQLite database through one shared crate instead of per-capability setup.
Statement
Section titled “Statement”Any determined capability that needs a SQLite file opens it the same way. The crate holds the pragma
list, pool ceiling and busy timeout, picks the state-plane directory for the file (tier), and caches
one store per vault, locked per path. Its sea-orm/sqlx dependency resolves the same
libsqlite3-sys (0.30) as the workspace rusqlite pin, so a consumer inherits the single
links = "sqlite3" resolution. It does not own generated entities or CRUD; those stay in each
consuming crate.
What it provides
Section titled “What it provides”- Driver-neutral pragma policy (policy::pragmas), applied through sea-orm (seaorm) or can be passed to rusqlite
- Tier: which state plane directory a database file lives in
- VaultDatabases: one store per vault, opened once
- AppDatabase: an app-scoped database handle
- SqliteStore trait that consumer stores implement, and SqliteError for open failures
- Single libsqlite3-sys driver resolution, inherited by depending on the crate
Underlying implementation
Section titled “Underlying implementation”- solutions/determined/crates/determined-sqlite/src/
- Consumed by determined-platform and determined-fitness
