T-KOTJ-agentpants-real-backend-e2e
State: planning/proposed · Impact: medium · Complexity: medium
Move agentpants’s Playwright suite off its browser mock and onto the real backend over HTTP in a
scratch root, using the headless helper and adapter from T-UU4J.
| Location | Role today |
|---|---|
apps/agentpants/src-tauri/build.rs | Ontogen generates HTTP (Axum), IPC and MCP servers into src/service/transport/ |
apps/agentpants/src-tauri/src/lib.rs | start_axum_server binds the generated router to a hardcoded 127.0.0.1:18101 inside the Tauri app; state comes from fleet_tauri::AppDirs::resolve(app); no headless bin |
apps/agentpants/src-nuxt/app/composables/transports/http.ts | The web build already has an HTTP transport |
apps/agentpants/src-nuxt/app/plugins/browser-mock.client.ts | Dev-only IPC stand-in |
apps/agentpants/src-nuxt/tests/ui/ | 1 Playwright spec (capture-appearance) against bun run dev on 18100 and the mock |
apps/agentpants/moon.yml | No e2e task |
dev-ports.yaml | agentpants 18100, agentpants-api 18101 |
Proposed
Section titled “Proposed”An agentpants-server bin on the shared helper builds state from fleet dirs and serves the
generated routes and the web build. The suite runs through scratchTauriApp under a moon e2e
task, and covers at least one create-and-read flow against real state. The desktop app takes its
port from dev-ports.yaml.
Approach
Section titled “Approach”- Split state construction out of the Tauri
setup. - Add
agentpants-serveron the shared helper. - Port
capture-appearance; add one spec that creates a skill and reads it back. - Add the moon
e2etask. - Delete the mock if nothing else uses it.
| Area | Note |
|---|---|
apps/agentpants/src-tauri/ | State split, agentpants-server bin |
apps/agentpants/src-nuxt/ | Suite, mock removal |
apps/agentpants/moon.yml | E2e task |
Acceptance criteria
Section titled “Acceptance criteria”- AC-1:
moon run agentpants:e2epasses againstagentpants-serverin a scratch root, with the isolation check on. - AC-2: The suite creates a skill through the UI and reads it back from the real backend.
- AC-3: No e2e spec relies on
browser-mock. - AC-4: The desktop app still serves its HTTP API.
Out of scope
Section titled “Out of scope”- The indexer and directory sub-apps (
src-indexer,src-directory). - Desktop smoke.
Dependencies
Section titled “Dependencies”T-UU4Jfor the headless helper andscratchTauriApp.
Discovery context
Section titled “Discovery context”- Agentpants was out of scope in the first plan. It already has generated HTTP routes, so its gap is the same as pumice’s.
