T-TLET-augmented-books-real-backend-e2e
State: planning/proposed · Impact: low · Complexity: medium
Give Augmented Books its first e2e: a smoke suite on the web build against a headless server in a scratch root, through the harness.
| Location | Role today |
|---|---|
solutions/augmented/apps/augmented-books/src-tauri/src/lib.rs | Tauri IPC commands; state under the fleet suite augmented-books |
solutions/augmented/apps/augmented-books/src-tauri/src/{api.rs,server/} | Book catalog and API logic; no HTTP transport |
solutions/augmented/apps/augmented-books/src-frontend/ | Vue 3 frontend; IPC only |
| Tests | No Playwright or e2e suite |
dev-ports.yaml | augmented-books 17000, augmented-books-hmr 17001 |
Proposed
Section titled “Proposed”The commands sit behind transport-agnostic handlers with an Axum router. An augmented-books-server
bin on the shared helper from T-UU4J serves them and the web build. The frontend picks HTTP
outside Tauri. A Playwright smoke opens the catalog and one book, runs through scratchTauriApp as
a moon e2e task.
Approach
Section titled “Approach”- Make the IPC commands call transport-agnostic handlers; add an Axum router over them.
- Add
augmented-books-serveron the shared helper; add adev-ports.yamlentry. - HTTP transport selection in the frontend outside Tauri.
- Smoke spec: catalog loads from seeded books, one book opens.
- Moon
e2etask.
| Area | Note |
|---|---|
solutions/augmented/apps/augmented-books/src-tauri/ | Router, server bin |
solutions/augmented/apps/augmented-books/src-frontend/ | Transport, smoke spec |
solutions/augmented/apps/augmented-books/moon.yml | E2e task |
dev-ports.yaml | Server and e2e ports |
Acceptance criteria
Section titled “Acceptance criteria”- AC-1:
moon run augmented-books:e2epasses againstaugmented-books-serverin a scratch root with the isolation check on. - AC-2: The desktop app still runs over IPC.
Out of scope
Section titled “Out of scope”- WASM problem runners beyond what opening a book needs.
- Desktop smoke.
Dependencies
Section titled “Dependencies”T-UU4Jfor the headless helper andscratchTauriApp.
Discovery context
Section titled “Discovery context”- Found while surveying every app with a UI or backend. The other augmented apps are out of scope:
augmented_webandlearn_webare Nuxt web apps whose e2e already runs their real server and that keep no fleet state;vimitis a Tauri shell with one template command.
