The backup experience has unit tests for its run composable and nothing end to end. The basics this milestone ships need a test that drives them through a browser.
Proposed
Section titled “Proposed”A Playwright suite at solutions/determined/tests/ui/backup/, on the pattern of
vault-switcher.e2e.ts: a dedicated platform-server over a fixture vault and a fresh
--state-dir and store, serving the built backup product. It runs Back Up Now, edits a file, backs
up again, opens the second snapshot’s changes, views the file at the first snapshot, and restores
it.
Acceptance criteria
Section titled “Acceptance criteria”- AC-1: The suite passes locally and in the determined e2e run.
- AC-2: After the restore step, the fixture file’s content equals the first snapshot’s.
- AC-3: The suite leaves nothing outside its temp directories.
Out of scope
Section titled “Out of scope”- Driving the packaged Tauri app.
- The schedule; its timing is covered by T-FJOX’s tests.
