T-YZOM-migrate-remaining-consumers-sdlc-yaml-docs

State: closed/done · Impact: medium · Complexity: large

The mechanical hard-cutover sweep: every direct resolveVerb call site, the shipped find-verbs skill (3 copies), the root sdlc.yaml, the hand-written conventions doc, and a final grep proving zero verbs:/resolveVerb/ SDLC_VERB_/VerbSource references remain outside historical decision-doc prose.

resolveVerb has ~10 direct callers outside lib/config/ itself, plus the root sdlc.yaml’s own verbs: section, the shipped find-verbs skill (3 copies), and the hand-written conventions/sdlc-yaml.md’s verbs: prose section, none of which are touched by T-JIBO-T-MVK5.

Every resolveVerb caller is rewired to resolveWorkflowCommands (T-4OUZ); the root sdlc.yaml renames verbs: → workflows:; the conventions doc’s verbs: section is folded into workflows:; the generated docs/sdlc-yaml-reference.md regenerates clean; and a final grep for verbs:/resolveVerb/SDLC_VERB_/VerbSource outside docs/planning/decisions/ returns nothing.

  1. Rewire each direct caller found by grep (resolveVerb non-test hits, captured in ../decisions/D-LSLH-collapse-verbs-workflows-chain-hooks/impact-map.md) to resolveWorkflowCommands (T-4OUZ): lib/services/quality/ops/run.ts, lib/services/quality/baseline.ts, lib/services/quality/ops/baseline/capture.ts, lib/services/git/arm-worktree.ts, lib/services/git/commit-to-main.ts, lib/services/pr/ops/review.ts, lib/services/pr/ops/update.ts, lib/services/project/ops/doctor.ts, lib/services/project/ops/setup.ts, lib/model/entities/task/ops/preflight-permissions.ts, lib/services/config/ops/get-verbs.ts/set-verbs.ts (rename to read/write workflows.<name> script-shaped entries — decide at implementation time whether these are renamed get-workflow-commands/set-workflow-commands or kept as CLI-facing names over the new backing store; either is a hard cutover, pick the smaller CLI-surface diff and say so in the PR), cli/backlog_cli/create.ts.
  2. Update the 3 shipped copies of the find-verbs skill (.claude-plugin/packs/sdlc/skills/find-verbs/SKILL.md, .cursor-plugin/packs/sdlc/skills/find-verbs/SKILL.md, plugin/plugins/sdlc/skills/find-verbs/find-verbs.md) to write workflows.<name> instead of verbs.<name>.
  3. Root sdlc.yaml: rename verbs: → workflows: (this repo’s own check/setup/setup-hooks content unchanged).
  4. solutions/ontological/conventions/sdlc-yaml.md: delete the verbs: prose section, fold its content (bare-string shorthand, env override, baseline names) into the workflows: section; add one line each to hooks:/chain: sections pointing at the shared resolver’s provenance.
  5. Regenerate docs/sdlc-yaml-reference.md via sdlc docs generate sdlc-yaml — do not hand-edit.
  6. Final sweep: grep -rn "verbs:\|resolveVerb\|SDLC_VERB_\|VerbSource" solutions/ontological docs sdlc.yaml (excluding docs/planning/decisions/D-V2XJ-*, docs/planning/decisions/D-LSLH-*, and any other historical decision doc, which describes the retired design on purpose) returns nothing.

All files listed above, plus whatever a re-run of the impact-map’s grep turns up against the state T-JIBO-T-MVK5 left (new call sites may appear during those tasks’ own test rewrites).

  • AC-1: bun test solutions/ontological scripts (this repo’s own check verb, now workflow) passes end to end.
  • AC-2: bun run solutions/ontological/cli/sdlc.ts docs generate --check reports no drift for the regenerated sdlc-yaml-reference.md.
  • AC-3: The final grep (above) returns zero hits outside docs/planning/decisions/ (excepting historical task/milestone prose describing this same migration, which is source-code-free).
  • AC-4: sdlc run check (root sdlc.yaml, post-migration) runs the identical command list it runs today, verified by a dry-run diff (sdlc run check --dry-run before and after the migration, same plan).
  • Sessions v2’s adoption (separate branch/PR, not this repo’s tree — see the impact map); P9’s MCP server (not yet built anywhere).
