Summary
Section titled “Summary”Michael Nygard’s 2011 post that defined the Architecture Decision Record: a small immutable document per decision capturing context, the choice, and consequences. The decision entity is SDLC’s ADR.
SDLC’s decision type keeps the ADR spirit (immutable id, supersession links, ordered incrementing numbering pinned in D-0002-entity-identifier-shape) while adding schema’d frontmatter and the generated index roster.
